Chocolate Whey Protein Date, Walnut, Almond and Orange Balls

I love weekends because that is when I spend my time looking after my vegetable garden, exercise, see my kids and meet friend – simply doing things that I love and of course making treats 🙂

Today I made some Chocolate  Whey Protein Date, Walnut, Almond and Orange flavoured Balls.

I first soak the dates for a few hours so that they are nice and soft.
I soaked about 1 cup. I then put the dates, walnuts (about 2 cups), almonds (about 1/2 cup), 1/2 cup Cocoa and then about 10 drops of DoTERRA Orange Essential Oils. To make these balls more “balanced” I added about 2 tablespoons of Isagenix Whey Vanilla Protein. Make sure they consistency is soft but not too soft to roll. If you need to add more nuts you can do so. It is messy to roll 🙂 After you made them into a ball – roll them in Shredded Coconut and place them in the fridge for a couple of hours before you serve.

They are super yummy! You can always change the flavour to Peppermint essential oils if you prefer that.
